(The Mighty) HELM’S ALEE

Before you watch this video.  Allow me an introduction to this band who hails as Helms Alee.  Ben, Dana, and Hoz.  Three pretty normal people if you ask me.  Humble as all hell.  If they would have sacrificed that they would be rich and famous by now.  And miserable.  I guess that’s my favorite part about this band, and you’ll get the idea watching here.  Let’s make these guys famous.  Or at least rich, they deserve it.  Ben also makes custom tube amps that rock the block as it should be rocked.  Check em out.

Annie Clark (St. Vincent, musician)

part alien.  part dream girl.  what’s she building in there?  Annie Clark, better known as St. Vincent but still not known enough.  Disney themes.  We are the same age.  I almost chased you down to ask if I could be in your band.  We could make music and sit on the French Riviera.  I’d catch us a couple of fishes to eat on the beach.

Strange Mercy (2011)

awesome.

Actor (2009)

Bart Davenport (musician)

Bart Davenport. I had never heard of Bart before.  I wrote down the title of a song I heard during the closing of last years movie “I Am” directed by Tom Shadyac.  Anyways, check him out… he’s pretty groovy, and apparently the prince of San Francisco Indie Pop.  Whatever that means.  Sometimes, soft and revealing, other times movin’ and groovin’.  I started off the the album Game Preserve (2003).  It’s awesome.

I noticed one day everywhere I went everyone had a cellphone checking text messages with their heads down or walking across a parking lot talking to no one. You are in line at the grocery store and the person in front of you is busy having a conversation on cellphone so everyone can hear their personal business. It is getting ridiculous. No one seems to look up or observe their surroundings anymore. No one knows how to peacefully ponder life because they are too busy checking, typing or talking on a piece of cold equipment.

Angelfield [official video]

Music Videos!!!  Directed by Jerf.  Yes, an amateur piece… but I had to use all this video for something, and it wasn’t worth converting it all.  It was captured from so many different pieces of equipment.  Plus this song is about an experience after partying with friends, so I loved sharing footage I had captured of us kicking back.
